About me:
Growing up I always said that I would never cook, that whoever I married, they would have to do all the cooking. Well...now that I am an adult, I only prefer to eat my cooking unless I know you are the BOMB cook! I love to cook for others. I have always been told that I am a good cook and I often experiment new recipes on my husband. He's a good taste tester! I don't like to eat new dished that I cook until after someone has eaten and given me thier opinion of the dish. However, I am not good at baking...desserts are always terrible for me and my husband lets me know it.

Kosher Salt Encrusted Prime Rib Roast

Reviewed on Dec. 25, 2008 by MSWESTCOAST
I read many reviews thoroughly before choosing this recipe. I rubbed the meat with a paste of fresh garlic before applying the salt as another member suggested. After researching on this site and a few others I started with a temperature of 425 and then lowered the oven to 250 for about 4 hours. I cooked it until the thermometer read 135 degrees and let it rest for 30 minutes. It was perfectly medium rare. I served this with au jus and horseradish. This was excellent, as good as any restaurant. I will definitely make this again.

Very nice. Will use again. I followed some suggestions and used powdered sugar to roll out.

Pita Chips

Reviewed on Dec. 25, 2008 by valerie
Amazing! I had some.. old.. pita bread left over in the fridge. I'm in college and hate to waste food, and this put that old pita bread to good use. I really like pita chips from the store, but its always so oily to me. I loved these because they're so easy to make and I can go light with the oil.
